Susan & Euan's wedding at Harvest Moon

18th July 2017
Back to Harvest Moon already... and it was another splendid day for a beach wedding.
Today was also Allison's first wedding as my assistant.
With Annie been going through her 6th year exams, and all being well heading to Uni to study something that isn't photography (Boooo!!!!) Ali was moved up from back room and studio assistant to wedding day assistant as well.
A thankless task, but until we finalise our new part time staff she'll just have to get used to all these other duties :)

We arrived at Harvest Moon ready for what we, and Susan & Euan had practically agreed was a very fancy, wedding day portrait session :) With two young cheeky boys, we were tasked with getting a few family shots from throughout the wedding afternoon.

It was another lovely day in amongst a set of rather dreich days, in fact I still sport a scabby, sunburned nose.

We met up with Euan almost as soon as we parked up, got introduced to the young uns - Ally & Dougie, before popping our heads into the top tent to say hello to Susan.
With us being of a more experienced Harvest Moon type, we were asked where we thought the ceremony should take place, and we suggested a little hollow close to the sea, but sheltered from any wind.

And that's where it all happened, it was Humanist Penny that was the officiator today (I was with Penny recently in Aberlady at a wedding there) , and the family all gathered round to a lovely, intimate ceremony before we had some fun with a 360' photo... some champers (please note both myself AND Ali caught the cork flying from the bottle... what a double fluke :) ) then a few family photos before the family set off for the tents to start firing up the wedding breakfast.

We stayed on the beach for a few minutes with just the newly weds, before roping in the young lads Ally & Dougie to attempt a family portrait session.. we did well with two very excited and happy youngsters.

It's weddings like these that are small that you really feel being part of it and Ally & Dougie were quickly on our side playing football and running around.

A really, nice wedding. Happy, warm and loving.

A pleasure doing 'work' like this.

Anyway... the slideshow is below for you get an idea of how the day went, and as usual, below that is a link to take you to the full Gallery where you can see all the photos, and if you like, order copies direct.
